The Job

Demolition of existing kitchen and bathroom. Sanding and varnishing of wooden flooring throughout with bespoke joinery units built under the stairs and in the living room. Painted and decorated all new units and renovated rooms.

The Challenges

The clients had to move out while the works were undertaken due to the apartment being uninhabitable during the build. The site waste was vast with multiple skip loads needed. Finally, the existing bathroom needed considerable work undertaken to get the walls level.

The Solution

With the clients moving out of the apartment and out of London for the build, we made sure we had daily calls to keep them abreast of all developments and to make sure all the products arrived as and when required but scheduled so that the apartment did not become too congested. The waste clearance needed to be managed carefully with a dedicated area created in the rear garden. Regular skip ‘wait and loads’ were required to make sure the waste didn’t overrun the site. Finally, the bathroom exterior wall and adjoining stud wall partitioning the kitchen were incredibly unlevel so we effectively re-built both from scratch to get the necessary angles perfect.
