Demolition of existing kitchen and flooring. New kitchen installation with matching bespoke window banquette unit. New tiled floor with underfloor heating and new crittall style doors and windows.

The Challenges

The existing floor level in the kitchen was vastly different from the hallway and also for the exterior which presented an issue for the new doors. The bespoke banquette seating was a challenge to construct due to how out of plumb the walls were.

The Solution

We had to use a breaker to remove all the existing tiles and substrate and then using our lasers create a new level for the tiles taking into account the build up for the new doors into the garden. Due to the walls being really out of plumb and bowed we had to scribe all the panels of the seating area to the walls. We also wanted to match the profile of the kitchen doors to the new units, and this became tricky as we also had to make sure the overall height of the unit was comfortable for children to use. We overcome this issue by having a shortened plinth height and reducing the internal cladding. The end result was excellent.

Oli and his team did an excellent job on our kitchen revamp. They are a cut above all other builders we have ever used and are really dedicated to quality and timely execution.
